The hill top is very cold & windy area. The wind blowing west to eastern direction , in winter periods the climate is very tough for humans.

HILL TOP

On the hill top a small building encircled with a deep trench.The trench to keep elaphants & Bisons away from the building.

PANDIPATH

In pandipath you can see the nearby hillocks.The border seperating the forest of kerala & tamil nadu is at pandipath. One side of the forest is the Mundanthura tiger reserve of tamil nadu.The well known Chemunchi hills are quite close to pandipath.

HISTORY OF BONACAUD

The bonacaud tea estate was built by the british east india company . At that time the british officers are visited the place on horse back for hunting & resting.

After tea garden trekking , we are travelling through Shola forest .Some beautiful trekking path photos are seen below.

Pandipath is situated 10 km away from Bonacaud tea estate . The forest starts after about a one kilometer climb from the tea garden, it is a rather tough trekking.
